We played with fire (a Hottie, no less) and got burnt, as our decision to leave the Bob Baffert Morning Line Favorite off our ticket cost us. Global Hottie was an easy winner in Race 2, crossing under the wire three and three quarter lengths in front of Place horse (and "A" Selection) # 3 Wasted At Midnight (2.00*). And that was the difference between us cashing and not cashing, as we connected on each of the other legs. But miss one or miss 'em all, the payout is exactly the same.
Oh well; onto the next race.
Meanwhile, those who had the correct Pick Five sequence of 3 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 6 were rewarded with a payout of $358.70 for their fifty cent wager. May God bless them as they spend their winnings.
