We spread five wide in a fruitless attempt to beat the odds-on Favorite in each of the first two legs of the sequence; and while there's no saying that saving some of those bullets would have led us to using Not too Shiny on our tickets, going that deep in those two races certainly didn't help our cause or our bankroll.
Oh well; onto the next race.
Meanwhile, those who had the correct Pick Four sequence of 8 / 5 / 5 / 8 were rewarded with a payout of $197.45 for their fifty cent wager. May God bless them as they spend their winnings.
